Growing up in Detroit Michigan, Henri Gross was always surrounded by all different types of music and their influences are evident in his varied performance abilities. Henri studied with various bass players throughout Michigan, and the world, taking lessons from John Kennedy, Donovan Stokes, Max Dimmoff, and the late Dan Pliskow to name a few. He studied Double Bass Performance at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA, and then recieved his Masters in Bass Performance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theater, and Dance. During that time, Henri performed and competed in halls around the world, from Europe to South America. With experience in many facits of musical language, Henri's range is from classical to jazz, rock to pop, and everything in between.
